New Asia Center for Economics of Mutuality to Launch at Hanyang University
April 2024
We are thrilled to announce that, in South Korea last week, the launch of a new Asia Center for Economics of Mutuality at Hanyang University was agreed.
“The Center will be dedicated to promoting mutual value in Korea and Asia,” said Jay Jakub, Executive Director of the Economics of Mutuality Foundation. He signed a Letter of Intent to establish the Center alongside Professor Hyun S. Shin, representing Hanyang University.
The Center will be a regional platform for research, education, and initiatives to address societal and environmental challenges - coordinating action among corporations, financial institutions, investors, and startup enterprises.
It will pursue a systematic and multi-sector approach to confront some of the most pressing issues in the region, such as ageing demographics.
The agreement was reached upon the conclusion of the first Economics of Mutuality Forum held in Asia on April 24 and 25, which gathered leaders from business, finance and investments, government, and academia from Asia, Europe, and North America.
A huge thank you to Kwang Kim for spearheading the organization of the Forum and the establishment the new Asia Center for Economics of Mutuality.
